What is your design inspiration & why is working with green/eco friendly products important to you?
Growing up in the Philippines as a child, nature was my natural habitat. I lived and breathed nature, my paradise. Anything of nature has always been a curiosity, fascination and wonder. It is embedded in my heart and soul. The world of natural and sustainable materials is a world of its own. I am at my happiest state of being when one with nature, when working with natural materials in creating beautiful, unique and sustainable designs that delight and surprise while elevating style from the heart. I am inspired to create bags and accessories that share the beauty of natural materials, represent handmade artistry and unique designs with relevance and powerful stories to tell and share in the making of my handbag collection from inspiration to materials selection, to sourcing to the artisans to the process and finally to the end consumer. Beyond the products, livelihoods are sustained and cultural traditions are preserved. Now, more than ever, we must strive for environmental consciousness that is all beneficial, important and inclusive to all mankind. It is of utmost importance to me in the design process to create green friendly products that minimizes destruction to Mother Earth. Working with eco-friendly products is my humble contribution to the preservation of the environment. Personally, it is my advocacy to promote \no waste"that is essential to the overall state of well being in everything that we do and consume. What is good for the environment is good for all of us."""
