What is your bag made out of?
This bag is made of jute and cotton waste recovered by chemical and biological processes. Jute is extracted from the bark of white jute plant, is one of the longest fibers and it is used in various textile applications. It is 100% biodegradable and recyclable and environmentally harmless This handbag also has a traditional textile made from a Andean community in Cusco-Peru. It's a natural sheep wool fabric with geometric patterns called pallay (wheat) in Queshua, which ones have been stained with cochineal plant.

Where do you source your materials?
Fabric waste from textile factories / Andean textiles from communities in Cusco-Peru

What is your design inspiration & why is working with green/eco friendly products important to you?
The inspiration is based in the practicality of the product and its relationship to the environment and the development of Andean communities. Working with eco friendly products is important because in this way we can reduce the harm that is made to the environment , help to save energy and do not encourage adding substantial toxicity to it. Also, recycled materials reduce the formation of landfills and waste.
