What country are your bags manufactured?
Please explain how your bags are socially responsible?
My bags are socially responsible because we work with independant artisans in rural areas of El Salvador where their talent is under appreciated. We provide them with jobs that consequently allows them to help their families. We also promote growth in training new talented artisans. Together we work as a team by exchanging craftmanship techniques and learning from each other as we continue to grow.
Do you work with local/native artisans to design your bags?
Yes, I only work along side local artisans by creating a platform where we exchange my fashion design and business knowledge with their native craftsmanship techniques. The idea is to grow and learn together.
Working Conditions. (Are the manufacturers/artisans that are being employed being treated humanely, of age, and working in safe and acceptable conditions? Please explain)
Yes we work in a workshop that has actually expanded during the time we have been working together do to the demand and taking on new talent. The conditions are perfect, no minors, safe environment, and normal working hours.
Why did you choose this country to have your bags made and what made you decided to give back?
I was born and raised in El Salvador and have always admired how passionate and driven Salvadorans are. I believe in how talented my people are and I want to show the world the art in our craftsmanship. I want to help my people and country in every possible way I can, the same way they have me.
