Kristina Moneyhun FINALIST'S PROFILE

What is your inspiration for this sketch?
My inspiration for my sketch is the Nasty Gal customer. The Nasty Gal girl, is someone who is driven, ambitious, and powerful. So I decided to design a clutch in the shape of a lightening bolt. This clutch is a statement piece meant to make the wearer look confident and striking!

Why did you select these particular materials to work for your sketch?
For the structure, I wanted it to be a hard shaped case. So I decided that plastic would work best.

What is your design background?
I am a fashion design student at Drexel University.

Do you currently design your own handbags collection? If so, would your Nasty Gal design fit into your current line?
This is my first time designing a handbag, but my design style runs parallel with the Nasty Gal style.

What materials do you normally work with?
Pleather, cotton, plastic, wool.

What can you offer to the Nasty Gal aesthetic?
I can offer a fresh, young, adventurous outlook on the ever evolving fashion world. I can relate to the customer and deliver products that they will respond to and grab their attentintion.
