What country are your bags manufactured?
Madagascar

Please explain how your bags are socially responsible?
Supporting responsible trade, we are part of the Fair Trade Federation, we help pay for the schooling of our partner artisans' children, and we work with Akany Avoko, a local orphanage.

Why did you choose this country to have your bags made and what made you decided to give back?
Laurel Brandstetter, started the company as an outgrowth of a Madagascar-based develpment project started by a relative.

How have your bags impacted this community?
We help families to gain economic independence and earn fair compensation for their talent and hard work. We also bring new ideas and information that give the artisans a better knowledge of designing and selling goods in the American marketplace.

What is your design philosophy?
To integrate fashion and social responsibility thus, bringing fantastic purposeful products to the world.
